An exchange is when a fraternity and sorority dress up in costumes and host a themed party at various L.A. venues. Every exchange has a different theme and Thetas always enjoy searching through their costume closets to find the perfect costume for each exchange. Exchanges are a great and fun way to get to know the fraternity members at USC.
On the night of the event the fraternity arrives at the Theta house singing and chanting in excitement and anticipation of the fun night ahead. Soon after they pick us up, we all board chartered buses which take us to our private event! Some of our recent exchanges include the following:
“Hunt or Be Hunted"

For our Hunt or Be Hunted exchange with Sigma Chi, boys and girls alike put together especially elaborate costumes. There were vampires, Hungry Hippos, Easter eggs, warriors, and even Where's Waldo. The boys were greeted with high energy and cheers when picked us up at the house and whisked us off to begin a fun-filled night. What a sensational start to our year! |
“Name That Tune"

To top off a fun-filled week of homecoming festivities, we spent an awesome evening with Phi Kappa Psi at our Homecoming exchange. Everyone dressed up in the theme of different song titles, allowing for some amazing and creative costumes. "Wild Thing" and "99 Red Balloons" and "That's Not My Name" were some of the fun costumes featured that night. |
“Up in the Air”

This creative theme allowed for many creative costumes... from bumble bees and superheroes to clouds and flying pigs, no costume fell short of amazing. The men of Phi Delta Theta picked us up and took us out to a wonderful night of dancing and socializing. |
“Never Have I Ever”

We all have things we've never done, from skydiving to going to Disneyland. Kappa Alpha Theta and the men of Lamdba Chi Alpha united for an amazing evening, and everyone at the exchange had the time of their lives. A great theme and a great venue made for a truly memorable event. |
