Invites

Even though Thetas are dedicated to their studies, internships and other various extra curricular activities, we still find time for fun and invites are the perfect escape from our everyday work. This is an opportunity for Thetas to invite a date of their choice to a Theta-sponsored event. This year we hosted four very exciting invites listed below:

Twin Star Bash
Twin Star is our first event of the year and a great way to kick-off the school year. Each Theta gets the opportunity to invite a date and dress to impress in semi-formal attire. This past year, our event was held in the starlight of the Union Station courtyard in downtown Los Angeles.

KAT in the Hat
Every fall we host KAT in the Hat, our signature mystery date event. Every Theta submits a list of guys' names to our social chair, who then matches up each girl with a date. The boy then drops off a hat at Theta to be given to his mystery date. On the night of the event, the girl and the guy both wear the same hat and dress to the theme of the particular hat. Then, when the two show up at the venue they find each other by searching for the matching hat.

The Showdown
For our first Spring invite this year, Thetas and their dates dressed up as famous rivals, a fun theme that gave everyone the great opportunity to get creative! From sports rivals to celebrity "frenemies" to movie characters, we saw an array of awesome costumes. Topped with an amazing venue and dancing the night away, it was a memorable evening for all!

Formal
The end of the year celebration is always a formal event at Theta. This year, formal was held at EAT on Sunset with tasty appetizers and an outdoor dancing area. It is always a great night and sometimes even difficult to pull people off the dance floor!
