All the Theta girls understand the importance of family old and new, and inviting our relatives to events is a great way to celebrate our pride for Theta and USC, and most importantly to share the bonds of sisterhood with our moms, dads, grandparents and siblings.
Parents' Weekend

All the Theta girls understand the importance of family old and new, and inviting our relatives to events is a great way to celebrate our pride for Theta and USC, and most importantly to share the bonds of sisterhood with our moms, dads, grandparents and siblings.
During Parents' Weekend, Theta holds an open house on Friday afternoon for all Theta families. They have the opportunity to tour the Theta house, watch our recruitment video, and get to know other Thetas and families. The next day everyone prepares for the big football game! Theta hosts a tailgate party on campus where Theta families mingle and socialize while listening to the USC band march by. After the tailgate, everyone walks over together to the Coliseum to watch the Trojans win!
The first Sunday in December, Theta has a holiday celebration and a large number of Theta families attend this event, bringing toys and books to donate to our philanthropy, CASA. Whether they are making gingerbread houses, decorating cookies, making holiday cards, wrapping presents or eating lots of holiday treats, the Theta girls and their families always enjoy the festivities.
Father-Daughter Event

At the end of February, Theta devotes a weekend to visit with our fathers. Dads fly in from all parts of the country for a fun-filled weekend! In years past we have taken charter buses to Universal City Walk, The Improv comedy theatre and the Peterson Automobile Museum! This year, Thetas and their fathers enjoyed an afternoon of bowling at Lucky Strike Lanes in LA Live. Although few strikes were scored, everyone had a blast bowling and listening to great music!
Mother-Daughter Event

Later in the spring, Theta celebrates a weekend with our moms, some of whom are Thetas themselves! In years past we have traveled to beautiful Newport Beach for a cruise around Newport Harbor, had lunch at the Balboa Yacht Club or enjoyed a day at the Santa Monica Beach Club and 3rd Street Promenade. This past year, the moms and their daughters put on their aprons for an afternoon cooking class! It was a memorable event for moms and daughters, all of whom loved taking advantage of a great opportunity to have a blast with our mothers and sisters!
